Maruti Suzuki has introduced its latest SUV, the Victoris, in India. Built on the Grand Vitara platform, this mid-size SUV is slightly larger in dimensions, stretching over 4.3 metres in length. It has also excelled in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, earning a full five-star safety rating. Bookings are now open with a token amount of ₹11,000.
Under the hood, the Victoris is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, offered with both mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid options.
In terms of design, the SUV showcases a refreshed look with features such as a connected LED tail lamp bar, a reworked front grille, new DRLs and headlamps, muscular squared-off wheel arches, stylish dual-tone 17-inch aero-cut alloy wheels (215/60 profile), a shark-fin antenna, and a powered tailgate with gesture-based opening. It is further accentuated with white skid plates at the front and rear.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has officially been showcased with multiple powertrain choices, including a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a strong-hybrid setup, and an S-CNG variant with an underbody tank. On the tech front, it packs premium features such as an Infinity Harman audio system with Dolby Atmos, Alexa-enabled voice assistance, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Buyers will also get fresh exterior shades and interior colour themes.
While the SUV has already made its debut, pricing details are expected to be announced soon. The Victoris is derived from the Grand Vitara but sports a stretched wheelbase for added space.
In terms of safety, the Maruti Victoris model shines with a five-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. It registered 31.66/32 points for adult protection and 43/49 points for child occupant safety, setting a strong benchmark in its segment
Maruti Victroris Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, the Victoris secured 15.66 out of 16 points, showing strong protection for the head, thighs, and ankles.
In the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, it achieved a perfect 16/16 score, with excellent safety ratings for the head, neck, chest, and legs.
For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the tests used the DUALFIX 5Z seat with Vario Base. The SUV scored a full 8/8 in the frontal test and 4/4 in the side impact test for an 18-month-old dummy, with the same results recorded for a three-year-old child.
Maruti Victoris : Exterior & Interior Design
The Maruti Victoris draws inspiration from both the Grand Vitara and the Brezza, sitting right between the two in Maruti Suzuki’s SUV lineup.
On the outside, it stands apart with a redesigned front and rear fascia, reprofiled headlamps paired with distinctive LED DRLs, a connected LED tail-light setup, a reworked tailgate, and a fresh aero-style alloy wheel design.
Measuring 4,360 mm in length with a 2,600 mm wheelbase, the SUV offers a strong road presence. Its proportions translate into a roomy cabin and generous boot capacity.
Inside, the Maruti Victoris carries Maruti’s latest premium interior theme, highlighted by a 10.25-inch full-digital instrument console, a 10.65-inch infotainment unit, elegant black-and-ivory dual-tone upholstery, and a paddle-shifter-equipped steering wheel.
The three-layer dashboard, branded internationally as the Escudo layout, is further elevated with 64-colour ambient lighting, adding a touch of personalisation and luxury.

Maruti Suzuki has officially introduced its latest compact SUV, the Victoris, as the new flagship offering under its Arena dealership network. Unveiled on Wednesday, the Victoris slots between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara, becoming the brand’s second entry in the midsize SUV space after the 2023 Grand Vitara. Customers can now reserve the SUV with a booking amount of ₹11,000.
The Victoris will be offered in six trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI(O), ZXI+, and ZXI+(O) – and will rival popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate.
A key highlight of the Maruti Victoris launch is its focus on safety. For the first time, a Maruti Vuctoris SUV from the Arena lineup has achieved a 5-star Global NCAP rating, setting a new benchmark for the company. The SUV is equipped with six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS features on select variants.
Powering the SUV is a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine, available with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Victoris also claims an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 21.18 km/l, making it one of the most economical choices in its category.
The cabin gets a premium touch with features such as a 10.25-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and leatherette upholstery.
Maruti Victoris Deliveries are expected to commence by the end of the month, while official prices will be revealed soon.
